Motorcycle Safety Seminar

Motorcyclists represent an increasing proportion of road users killed (17 per cent) and seriously injured (23 per cent) in Australian road crashes.

An upcoming seminar organised by the Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM), and co-sponsored by the ARC Research Hub for Future Fibres, will bring experts together to raise questions and identify topics for research and development for the advancement of motorcycle safety.

Hub Mini-conference

The mini-conference provided an opportunity for Hub members to connect and be updated on progress on Hub-funded projects over the last 6 months. It also combined a session on intellectual property which proved very useful.

Smart and Intelligent Textiles Conference

Thursday 24th August 2017, Institute for Frontier Materials, Deakin University Waurn Ponds campus

The Smart and Intelligent Textiles Conference, organised by the Technical Textiles and Nonwoven Association (TTNA) and sponsored by the ARC Research Hub for Future Fibres, was held at IFM on Thursday 24th August 2017. Delegates from industry and academia came together to listen to five speakers discussing current and future trends in smart textiles.

Future Fibres Symposium

27-28th February 2017, Institute for Frontier Materials, Deakin University Waurn Ponds campus

The inaugural Future Fibres Symposium was held in February 2017 and featured keynote presentations from international partner investigators as well as Hub researchers.
